Hannah Clancy was raised in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where her parents nurtured her love of the outdoors and her competitive spirit.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Rocky Mountain College, in Billings, Montana, where she graduated summa cum laude with a major in History and Political Science, and minors in Economics and Pre-Law. She alpine ski raced for the Rocky Mountain College ski team throughout college and when they won the national title in 2018. After finishing her undergraduate degree in three years, she spent a year in between law school and undergrad working as a courtroom clerk and later as the judicial assistant to the Honorable Mary Jane Knisley of the Thirteenth Judicial District in Billings, Montana.
She received her juris doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law, where she served on the Wyoming Law Review editorial board, and gained invaluable legal experience working for the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming, the University of Wyoming Civil Legal Services Clinic and Rural Law Center, and experience in civil litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants. Upon graduating, Hannah received the University of Wyoming Outstanding Law Student award bestowed by the National Association of Women Lawyers.
